The Interreligious choir “La Pau” (“The Peace”) was created in Barcelona with the support of the UNESCO Association for Interreligious Dialogue (AUDIR), from the will and the wish of harmony among the different religious traditions. It carries out its weekly rehearsals since the beginning of October 2007, and aims to be an expression of intercultural and interreligious dialogue in Catalonia.

The fundamental goal of this interreligious choir is to show that, through song, difference can become a source of enrichment, and that peace is the deepest wish of human beings, the most sincere and authentic experience. The diversity which characterizes the group, far from being an obstacle at any level, offers to the singers a chance to experience universal brotherhood.

The choir performs, at public events and holydays, a repertoire which is made up of religious lyrics from different confessions, with the supervision of expert musicians of each tradition.
