International RelationsThe UNESCO association for Interreligious Dialogue, AUDIR, is a founding member of the United Religions Initiative (URI), an international network of local interreligious initiatives, a member of URI-Europe’s board of directors, and a trustee member of its Global Council. It is as well an affiliated member of the World Conference on Religion and Peace, and has a delegate in the WCRP-Europe committee. From 7 to 13 of July 2004, AUDIR did closely collaborate with the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions on the organization of the Parliament’s fourth edition, which took place in Barcelona within the framework of the Universal Forum of Cultures – Barcelona 2004, and it participated in it as the technical secretariat. AUDIR currently takes part on the annual meetings of the Goldin Institute for International Partnership and Peace, organized by the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions. AUDIR has participated as well in URI assemblies in Dobogókö (Hungary), Pittsburgh (USA), Oaxtapec (Mexico), Berlin (Germany), Belgium, and also in the European Assembly of the World Conference of Religions for Peace in Graz (July 2003). It is a member of the International Network on Religions and Mediation in Urban Areas (under the auspices of UNESCO and with headquarters in Barcelona), and belongs to the Catalan Federation of UNESCO Associations and Clubs.
